Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. A year later he became a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association-Board of Certification. He is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Paul’s quest for knowledge did not end there. He is a Muscle Activation Specialist (MAT)™ and a Fellow of Applied Functional Science.
For the past 12 years Paul has used a combination of his prevention and assessment techniques of an athletic trainer, his program design of a personal trainer, his manual therapy skills of Muscle Activation Techniques, and his expertise in biomechanics and muscle function to design specific wellness programs for anyone with injuries. Additionally he has worked with all levels of athletes and the general population to improve fitness, function, and performance.
Paul believes that stability and balance come from the bottom up. The feet and legs must be stable to provide mobility and stability to the rest of the body. Paul’s three dimensional training programs use these truths to enhance balance and strength in all clients.
Paul is an avid runner, and cyclist. He has completed multiple marathons, an ultra-trail marathon and a century ride. He enjoys spending time with his two daughters and has a thirst for knowledge. He believes that a great day is a day where you learn something new.
